UK Visit Visa

The UK visitor’s visa is normally granted for a period of six months and you are expected to return home when your visa expires. You are required to prove that you have sufficient funds to support and accommodate yourself without working and that you can meet the cost of your return journey home.

To qualify you must show that:

– you want to visit the UK for no more than six months.

– you intend to leave the UK at the end of your visit, and

– you have enough money to support yourself and live in the UK without working or needing help from public funds.

These extended Categories include:

  • 2-year Visit Visa
  • 5-year Visit Visa
  • 10-year Visit Visa

To qualify you must show that:

  • You are genuinely seeking entry as a general visitor for a period not exceeding six months with each 12-month period.
  • You intend to leave the UK at the end of the period of the visit.
  • You can maintain and accommodate yourself without using public funds.
  • You can meet the cost of the return or onward journey.
  • You have made regular visits to the UK.

You must not:

  • Take employment in the UK.
  • Produce goods or provide services within the UK.
  • Intend to undertake a course of study. Be a child under the age of 18.
  • Intend to marry or form a civil partnership.
  • Intend to give notice of marriage or civil partnership.
  • Intend to receive private medical treatment.
  • Be in transit to a country outside the common travel area.

Once applied for you can expect a result within 7-10 working days.
